About Allyson

Allyson Mack is a Midwest-born actor and dancer currently training with the Syracuse University Department of Drama. With a foundation in both musical theater and straight plays, she's hoping to expand her ability to perform on-camera.

Driven by connection and curiosity, Allyson has spent her first year at Syracuse developing the Meisner, Stanislavsky, and Stella Adler techniques under the direction of her professors. She's taken classes in improvisation, movement, and voice and speech.

She's excited to continue her exploration of acting while also incorporating her passions for dance, psychology, theater marketing, and social media. Allyson's biggest inspirations are her peers and mentors, but she also looks up to actors like Amanda Seyfried, Sadie Sink, and Jennifer Lawrence.

Offstage, she carries the same energy and openness she brings to her performances. She believes every day is a good day to dance and finds beauty in the process of growth, exploration, and artistic risk-taking.

When Allyson isn’t rehearsing or performing, she’s all about soaking up the little things that make life feel full. She’s an avid podcast listener, rotating between Call Her Daddy, In the Envelope, and Good Hang. At home, she's outnumbered by animals in the best way—sharing life with one dog and two cats who keep things lively. Allyson's guilty pleasure dessert is ice cream, and her go-to Dunkin' order is a mango lemonade refresher. She's usually got a playlist going too, featuring artists like Olivia Dean, Noah Kahan, Reneé Rapp, and The Lumineers.

Special interests include: guitar, ukulele, left and right splits, forward walkovers, horseback riding, jump roping, distance running, clarinet, ice skating, skiing, and editing videos.
